Laura Fontana is a certified Massage Therapist pursuing her certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner at the highly accredited Mueller College of Holistic Studies. She specializes in relaxation-pain relief and detoxification massage, customizing techniques from deep tissue, Swedish, and Chinese medical massage. She is trained in Chi Nei Tsang, which is ideal for purifying the internal organs promoting better circulation of nutrients and elimination of toxins, the cornerstone for optimal physical health, as well as, mental and spiritual wellness. Healing is the cleansing and harmonizing of body, mind and spirit. In order to facilitate cleansing in all of these stages, Laura includes energetic healing through Reiki in her practice, as well as customized nutrition and herbal remedies counseling.
Laura is a San Diego native who has dedicated her life to understanding the healing arts and facilitating others on their journey to optimal self-care. Her learning began at the University of California at Santa Barbara where she discovered her passion for helping others, earning a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. She then became a Special Needs Assistant for the San Diego Unified School District and then further pursued her passion by teaching English in Taiwan. There she realized her appropriate channel: Chinese Medicine and Holistic Healthcare. Returning home to San Diego her purpose is actualized through her practice of healing touch, here, at the office of San Diego Body Cleanse.
